What do you think about using sapphire for an engagement ring-Yes or No?
First of all, sapphire occurs in all colors (when it is red it is ruby). Technically sapphire is a variety of corundum and ruby is the red variety of corundum. Sapphire is all of the other colors (other than red) of corundum.
Sapphire is hard (on s scale of 1 to 10, sapphire ranks a 9) and hardness refers to it’s resistance to scratching and thus it’s durability.
So if you want an alternative to diamond, then sapphire is a good consideration. Customers can choose from genuine sapphires in many colors in our store. We have a rainbow of sapphire colors in various yellows, oranges, greens, violets, blues and pinks.
